Plan Tiers
How Solo and Founder tiers differ, which categories, tools, and ops skills each tier unlocks, and how plan-tier gating is enforced server-side.
The workflow pass treats integration categories as a tiered catalog. Every paid plan gets the Solo tier, the eleven core dev workflows. The Founder tier (and above) adds three go-to-market categories: Marketing & Lifecycle, Product & Customer Ops, and SEO & AI Search.
//The Two Tiers
| Tier | Categories | Tools | Hand-written Ops Skills | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Solo | 11, ticketing, documentation, communication, error tracking, analytics, payments, cloud, database, auth, email, design | 72 | 24 | | Founder | 14, Solo + marketing, product, SEO | 110 | 33 |
Solo covers everything a developer reaches for to ship code. Founder adds the surfaces a one-person SaaS founder reaches for to grow it.

//How Gating Works
Tier enforcement happens in two places:
-
Client-side filter (UX). When
/saikit-workflowsasks which categories matter, the binary filters out Founder-only categories for Solo users. They never see Marketing, Product, or SEO in the multi-select. -
Server-side guard (security). The premade-skill catalog endpoint is auth-gated. When the workflow pass tries to install a Founder-tier skill (e.g.
meta-ads-ops) for a Solo user, the server refuses. The client never carries the full catalog locally, detection runs locally, but the actual skill content is fetched on demand.
This is intentional. Tier filtering at the UI layer alone would let a curious user re-run the binary with hand-edited state and pull down skills they didn't pay for. The server is the source of truth.
//Which Tier Do I Need?
A simple rule: if you ship code, Solo is enough. If you also do go-to-market, running ads, sending lifecycle email, tracking SEO, you want Founder.
Concretely, lean Founder if you:
- Run paid ads on Meta, Google, LinkedIn, or TikTok and want the AI to query Meta Ads insights or pull conversion data.
- Use HubSpot or Salesforce as a CRM and want the AI to inspect deal stages, tag contacts, or update properties.
- Use Customer.io / Klaviyo / Mailchimp for lifecycle email and want the AI to debug sends, reason about journeys, or scaffold templates.
- Track AI-search visibility (Profound, Peec.ai) or deep SEO (Search Console, structured data, Surfer).
- Need feature-flag operational work (Statsig, LaunchDarkly, GrowthBook).
- Run an Intercom / Zendesk inbox and want the AI to answer support escalations.
Solo is the right fit if your stack stops at the dev cycle.
//Upgrading
Run summonaikit whoami to see your current tier:
$ summonaikit whoami
viktor.bonino@gmail.com
plan: solo
Upgrade in the dashboard. Once your plan flips, the next /saikit-workflows run will show all 14 categories, no re-install needed. The plan tier is read fresh on each workflow run invocation, so switching tiers takes effect immediately.
If you downgrade, existing skills already on disk are not removed, you keep what you've installed. New skills in Founder-only categories will be refused on install.
